What is the driving like around Fethiye and Oludeniz?
Expect winding two-lane roads with steep descents into the bays, especially down to Oludeniz, Kabak and Butterfly Valley. A small car with decent brakes and air conditioning is ideal. Summer afternoons are hot and the roads busy, so drive early to reach beaches like Patara or the coves at Kabak before the crowds, and stop at the ghost village of Kayakoy on the way back.
