What we collect

To process a booking we collect the details you enter: name, email, phone, optional country and flight number, and your rental dates and location. We also keep server logs and anonymous search statistics (destination, dates, result count) to improve coverage. We do not store payment card data: the online reservation share is processed by Stripe on its own pages, and the rest is paid at the rental desk.

How we use it

Your booking details are shared with the rental company you book with so they can confirm and prepare your rental; that is the purpose of the platform. We email you about your booking status. We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing without your consent.

Cookies and measurement

Essential cookies always run: a session cookie for partner and admin sign-in, your cookie choice, and a first-party attribution cookie that records which campaign or website brought you to GetCar (the campaign label and the click reference only, for 90 days, so that we can see which advertising leads to bookings). Our own visitor statistics are counted without cookies, from a daily-rotating hash that identifies no one.

With your consent we also load Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion measurement and the Meta pixel to measure how our site and our advertising perform. Until you accept, these tags set no cookies and receive no advertising identifiers. You can choose essential cookies only in the banner and change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Retention and your rights

Bookings are retained as commercial records. You can request a copy or deletion of your personal data at privacy@getcar.rentals; we will honor deletion where no legal retention duty applies.

Controller

Data controller: GetCar.rentals, a registered trade name under KVK 74753525, the Netherlands, Cartesiusstraat 90, 2562 SL The Hague, The Netherlands. Hosting in the EU (Germany). Rental companies you book with are independent controllers of the data they receive for your rental.
