GetCar is built by people who run rental desks for a living. That changes what we show you: the actual car classes a company runs, the deposit before you book, and whether the desk is at the airport or a shuttle away. If we wouldn't book it, we don't list it.

No. Booking is free. We email you a secure payment link for the reservation share three days before your rental starts. If you would rather have it out of the way, you can also pay the share at booking.
What do I need at the desk?
A valid driver’s license in your name; some countries also ask for an International Driving Permit alongside it. The credit card in the name on the reservation, and a copy of your voucher; a printed one is the safe bet. Your voucher terms list anything else the rental company requires.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel up to 48 hours before pick-up and anything you paid online is refunded in full. Inside the last 48 hours the reservation payment is non-refundable, but amounts due at the desk are never charged.
Can I change the name on the voucher?
Yes, up to 48 hours before pick-up, pending approval by the rental company. Already at the desk and need it changed? Contact us right away at info@getcar.rentals with your booking reference and we will take it up with the desk directly.
What if my rental is not confirmed?
No rental, no charge. If you paid online and the rental company has not confirmed within 72 hours, your payment comes back automatically and in full. Most confirmations arrive within hours; some operators just take a day or two.
