1. Who we are

GetCar (getcar.rentals, getcar.rent) is a booking platform operated by GetCar.rentals, a registered trade name under KVK 74753525, the Netherlands ("GetCar", "we"). GetCar is a broker/intermediary: we help you find and request rental cars from independent rental companies ("Suppliers"). GetCar does not own, operate, or insure rental vehicles.

2. Your rental contract is with the Supplier

When a booking is confirmed, the rental agreement is concluded directly between you and the Supplier, on the Supplier's terms (license requirements, minimum age, deposit, fuel, insurance and damage policies). Those terms are presented or handed to you by the Supplier at pick-up. GetCar is not a party to the rental agreement.

3. Bookings, prices and payment

A booking placed on GetCar is a request until the Supplier confirms it; we notify you by email either way. The price shown at booking is the full rental price for the selected car and dates and is locked upon confirmation; no fees are added later.

Where online payment is offered, you pay a reservation payment to GetCar at booking (the exact amount is shown before you pay; it is processed securely by Stripe). The remaining balance is paid directly to the Supplier at pick-up. If the Supplier cannot confirm your booking, the reservation payment is refunded automatically and in full. Deposits shown are indicative amounts held by the Supplier, not by GetCar.

4. Cancellations, refunds and no-shows

You can cancel a booking with your booking reference by contacting us or the Supplier. If you cancel up to 48 hours before pick-up, any reservation payment is refunded in full. Within 48 hours of pick-up the reservation payment is non-refundable. Amounts payable at the desk are never charged for cancelled bookings. If you do not appear at the agreed pick-up time and location, the Supplier may release the vehicle and the reservation payment is forfeited.

5. Our responsibility

We take care that Supplier information on GetCar (fleets, rates, locations, reviews) is presented accurately as provided to us by Suppliers, but the Supplier remains responsible for the vehicle, its availability, condition, and the performance of the rental. To the extent permitted by law, GetCar's liability in connection with any booking is limited to the total commission we earned on that booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

6. Reviews

Reviews marked as verified come from travelers who completed a booking through GetCar. We may refuse or remove reviews that are unlawful, abusive, or unrelated to a rental experience.

7. Acceptable use

You agree to provide accurate booking details, to hold a valid driver's license for the rental, and not to use the platform for fraudulent or automated bookings.

8. Changes and contact
