Tocumen is the main international airport on the east side of the city and has the most rental desks. Albrook handles domestic flights and sits closer to the centre and the canal road. Pick the airport you land at and choose that pick-up point when you search.
What kind of car suits Panama?
For the city, canal and Pacific beaches a standard car is fine on the main highways. If you plan to climb to El Valle, the mountains around Boquete or any unpaved side roads in the rainy months from roughly May to November, a car with higher ground clearance is worth the extra.
